Naples Walking Club Members,
We are planning a club outing to the Audubon Corkscrew Swamp Sanctuary during February (tentative date Saturday, February 18th).
Some of you may be familiar with the sanctuary ( http://corkscrew.audubon.org/visit ).
It has a 2.25 mile boardwalk through pine flatwoods, wet prairie, marshland, and a bald cypress forest, and it home to numerous birds (including the wood stork), deer, and a variety of other wildlife. There is a guided 90 minute tour at 10:30, or we could request a customized tour for our group (generally 3 hours—-would be on and off the boardwalk–minimum of 10 required). The 90 minute tour is included with admission which is $14, and the 3 hour tour and admission would be $25.
The Sanctuary is located off Immokalee Road near Orange Tree. Can you please let me know if you are interested in this outing, and if you would prefer the 90 minute or 3-hour guided tour? Thanks so much—enjoy a very Happy Holiday Season!
